About	Marc Allen Waits was born in Port Angeles, Washington on June 19, 1970 to Thomas and Andrea Waits and big brother, Geoffrey. Marc became very ill on Friday and passed away on Saturday unexpectedly at Peace Health in Vancouver from causes that are not yet known. In 1971 the family moved from Port Angeles to Yakima where Marc attended Whitney Elementary, Wilson Junior High and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1988 and George Fox University in 1992. From an early age, Marc was an avid soccer player, starting with Parks and Recreation and moving on to the Yakima Sounders. He continued pursuing his soccer passion on the Eisenhower Varsity team. While at George Fox University Marc played on two National championship teams and is still ranked top 3 in several offensive categories. After graduating from GFU, Marc played for the Yakima Reds, a semi-pro soccer club. Marc dedicated his life to serving others. He worked for the Yakima County Juvenile department, was Youth Pastor at Yakima Evangelical Church, and went on several mission trips to help those in need. He married Melissa McDowell and moved to Vancouver, Washington. Although the marriage ended in divorce, they had two wonderful children, Brayden and Kameryn. While in the Vancouver area, Marc worked for Home Depot, Keller Supply, Kashes Construction, Dealer Supply and was currently working for TPI as a sales representative. He was respected and loved by his colleagues. In 2012, Marc met his soulmate, Stacie Sheppard-Campbell. In 2013 they were married and blended their two families. Marc, Stacie, Brayden, Tayah, Tate, Kameryn and Tessa were often referred to as the “Brady Bunch minus one” by friends and family. God truly brought them together to be family. When he wasn’t working, Marc spent his time watching his children’s sporting events, volunteering at their church and schools, and attending any sporting event he could fit into his crazy schedule. Marc is survived by his parents Tom and Andrea Waits, his wife, Stacie, his five children, his brother Geoff and Tara Waits and their 3 children; in-laws, Mike and Mandi Sheppard, Shawn and Tracy Sheppard and Denny and Tawny Campbell. He is also survived by loads of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family that love him dearly. The Celebration of Marc’s life will be held at Summitview Church, 7701 NE 182nd Ave., Vancouver, Wa. 98682 on Saturday, October 15th, 11 am - 3 pm.
