About	Carol Lynne Roos passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2015. She was born in Yakima on October 26, 1943 to Charles and Grace Roos. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1962. She was also a University of Puget Sound and University of Arizona graduate. Carol taught briefly in Washington, but worked most of her career as a social worker in Tucson, Arizona. She earned the prestigious Jefferson Award from the American Institute for Public Service in 1985 for her tireless efforts on behalf of children and families. In 2009 she was also inducted into the Sunnyside School District Hall of Fame. Carol enjoyed volunteering for many organizations including Girl Scouts and Special Olympics. In retirement, she became an avid Mariners fan and attended spring training in Arizona and games in Seattle. Carol also enjoyed many trips with the Harmon Center. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 23 at 2 pm at the Harmon Center. The family requests donations in Carol’s memory be made to the Harmon Center or Humane Society of Central Washington. Full obituary published in the Yakima Herald Republic, Yakima, WA April 26, 2015.
