About Yuma, Arizona - In Loving Memory of Vicki Ann Nathlich 1943 - 2025

Vicki Ann Nathlich passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at the Hansen House hospice center in Yuma, Arizona at 82 years of age.

Vicki was born at the former St. Elizabeth hospital in Yakima, Washington on January 13, 1943. For 54 years, she shared life with her beloved husband, Richard Lee "Dick" Nathlich. Together, they raised three children, Cindy (Rick), Mike (Teresa) and Jim (Avery), in a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

Vicki was a proud grandmother to Trent, Ashley, Jacob and Abby and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her heart expanded even further with the arrival of two great-grandsons, Jaxton and Kamden.

A lifelong learner and educator, Vicki earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Central Washington University. She dedicated 32 years of service to the Yakima School District, where she made a lasting impact as both a teacher and vice-principal. Her gentle leadership, compassion, and commitment to students shaped countless lives and inspired many.

In retirement, Vicki and Dick divided their time between Yakima and Yuma, AZ enjoying the sunshine, which allowed Vicki to tend to her gorgeous gardens, paint with her heart, and walk the many dogs who were lucky enough to be in her care. These peaceful years reflected the same grace and contentment that marked every chapter of her life.

Vicki's legacy is one of love, generosity, and quiet strength. Her family, her students, and all who knew her were better for having been touched by her gentle spirit.

A celebration of life will be held in Yakima at a later date to honor Vicki's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Yakima Humane Society.

Rest gently, Vicki. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.
