About | Caroline Yvonne Princehouse was born on March 9, 1947 to George and Gail Crum. She grew up in Yakima attending Roosevelt, Franklin Jr. High, Eisenhower High School, and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in pharmacy. She also attended the University of Illinois on a Fulbright scholarship pursuing a doctorate in anthropology. Caroline had many interests: she loved books, reading, swimming, tennis, hiking, Illinois basketball, and jazz. She also played piano all her life. Caroline has people she loved and who cared for her too: her younger sister, Mary Huibregtse (Bill); two nieces, Julie Franck (John), and Jill Stephens (Daniel); and nephew John Huibregtse (Katie); eight grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Jackson, Hunter, and Hudson Franck; Austin and Allison Stephens; and Savannah, Paige, and Avery Huibregtse. Caroline had drive and determination and a love for the pursuit of knowledge and information. It took her to Champaign, Illinois and the University of Illinois. While there, she met Dave Daubard and both enthusiastically pursued many experiences, adventures, and escapades together for over twenty years. Caroline had multiple sclerosis. Dave was there for her as the relapses occurred. He cared for her, encouraged her, and loved her. We are so grateful and blessed for his sincere care as the disease progressed. Our families are quietly celebrating her life at a future date. We loved her! |
