Sharon Louise Base, born Sharon Louise Lange, passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 74. Sharon entered this world alongside her best friend and twin sister, Sandra Joyal, on November 15, 1950 in Yakima, Washington.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of Yakima and attended Eisenhower High School.
She was married to her beloved husband, Norman L. Base, for 54 years.
Sharon had a wide range of jobs throughout her life, but some that she enjoyed the most were working as an accountant and as a casino pit boss.
Her talents stretched across many disciplines and she could make just about anything she could dream up. Some of her most accomplished skills were sewing, knitting, crocheting, and scrapbooking. In addition to these hobbies, Sharon was known amongst family and friends for her delicious culinary creations. Cooking and baking were another creative outlet for her, and she enjoyed trying new recipes whenever she had the occasion.
Sharon is survived by her husband Norman L. Base of Yakima, WA, her two children and their spouses, four grandchildren, one brother, and one sister. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at West Hills Memorial Park on Friday, January 3, 2024.
