On August 5, 2024, Mark Summers, age 66, quietly passed away. He was born on July 17,1958, to John and Dorothy Summers.
Mark graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1977. After that, he worked at Shields Packaging until he had to quit due to health reasons.
He liked basketball and baseball, especially the World Series. He also loved old cars.
In 2018, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was in the hospital for over a month. He was then transferred to Arcadia Nursing Home. He really loved the staff and was always joking with them.
He is survived by his sister, Christine (Scott) Mullinnex, nephew, Andrew (Krista) Mullinnnex, niece, Hollie Mullinnex, great-niece, Taylor, and great-nephew, Mason. We will miss him so much.
As his last wish, he did not want a funeral service and wanted to be cremated.
I would like to thank the staff of Arcadia Nursing Home for the kindness and love that they showed Mark, especially Rhonda, Tina, Juanita, and Anne.
