About On Saturday, January 27th, Jimmy, Kreisel, age 71, passed away suddenly at his home in Yakima, from complications with his heart.

James Russell Kreisel was born to Jim and Edith Kreisel on September 6, 1952 in Sedalia, Missouri. As a child, he was fascinated with any type of electronic gadget. He loved tape recorders, TVs, VCRs, DVD players and stereos his entire life!

In 1968, he moved to Yakima with his family. As a teen, he began working at his dad's car wash on Nob Hill, Royal Lustre.

In 1971, he graduated from Eisenhower High School. He then began working at his dad's second station, Lincoln Avenue Car Wash. He was a member of the Heidelberg CB club, where he met and married his only wife, Virginia Kiehn (divorced in 1999). In the year following, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He went on to work for Arco Oil, Diamond Freight, then CWI Security, until he retired.

He loved following the Yakima Valley Pippins and also the Seattle Mariners. He enjoyed watching reruns of old television shows, and his all-time favorite show was the original Star Trek. In recent years, he never missed a week of watching American Idol or Dancing with the Stars.

He was proceeded in death by his dad, James F Kreisel (2019).

He was survived by his mom, Edith Ann Kreisel, 91, sisters Jan Kreisel, Linda Holmes (Kevin) and Teresa Kreisel, two nieces, Amy Guild (Tavis) and Haley Eyestone (Brad) and one nephew, Dane Holmes. Also, five great nieces and nephews, and longtime best friends, Jeff Knowles, and Susie Burns.

And his special "lady friend", Ginger Knoblaugh.

We love and miss you Jimmy. But we'll see you in heaven.

No service is planned.

Classmate Memories

John Hill '65 said:

Jim was such a sweet, long-time friend. My husband, John Hill, was the older brother to Mark Hill, also class of '71. That is how John and I came to know Jimmy. Our friendship remained all these past 50+ years. Since we moved to Kennewick we kept in touch through phone calls, text messages and the occasional visits. We have been honored to call Jimmy our friend, RIP
