Benavides, TX - Beverly Day (Koch) Hutchins, 62 passed away on December 29, 2007 at her family ranch near Benavides, TX. She was born in a log cabin on July 9, 1945 in Littlefork, MN. She grew up in Yakima and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1963. She was married to her best friend, Jim Hutchins, for 44 years and they had three children: Jim Jr., Jill and Jason. She was a grandmother to Codey, Taylor James, Tyler, Megan and Trystian. Beverly and her husband traveled the world extensively with many memorable experiences. Beverly loved to entertain with family and friends. She had a deep passion for living life to the fullest, even during her long sickness. Bev was very much loved by everyone, even children of family friends referred to her as "Grandma", and she will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memorial service was held Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, TX. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Florence (Pritchett) Koch, her brother Roger, brother-in-law Charles Fiedler and step-mother Golda. She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren of Dickinson, TX, brother Lloyd (Julia) Koch and sister Ruby (Norman) Cornelius of Yakima, sisters Edith (Fred) otto and Connie (Peter Blanchard of Spokane, WA: Donna (Ken) Howard of Sedro Wooley, WA; Hazel Fiedler of Littlefork, MN; Dorothy (Dallas) Treat of Tucson, AZ and many nieces and nephews.

Beverly was such a caring and gentle person at Ike. It was so nice to know her and great having in our Class. She and Jim must have had a lovely life together which makes us happy for both.
