Joseph James "Joey James" Hlavsa, age 68, of Edwardsville, died at 1:11 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
Joey was a retired claims representative for Madison Mutual Insurance Company in Edwardsville. He was a professioal musician since 1958 and formed the Joey James Orchestra.
Joey was born Feb. 3, 1942, in Glen Carbon, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Dadara) Hlavsa. He married Rebecca "Becky" Hellrung on Oct. 22, 1966, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She survives.
Joey will be missed by all of us through the years.
