Graduation Year Class of 1989
Date of Passing Jun 12, 2002
About Detective Frank Collins dedicated his life to working undercover in the city's dangerous shadows, busting drug dealers who terrorized South Brooklyn. Collins was killed June 12, 2002, while riding his motorcycle home from the Brooklyn South narcotics unit. As he neared the corner of Seventh Ave. and 72nd St. in Bay Ridge, an 11-year-old girl walked out into the street. Determined not to hurt her, Collins swerved - and lost control of his bike. The impact killed him. The stretch of Seventh Ave. where the 28-year-old died will be renamed Detective Frank P. Collins Way during a ceremony.

Submitted by Massimo DiFiore, Class of 1990, a High School Friend of Frank, who will forever miss him. This tribute is Long overdue, may He rest in peace!
