I started out working only with parachutes as a parachute specialist, then I learned to work with life preservers and life rafts, combining the fabric and rubber specialty with parachutes. In the end I became a Survival Equipment Technician, working with parachutes, various rubberized equipment, and fabric items.

Navy, 20+ Years
7 months after graduation, I was welcomed to the "real" world in the jungles of Vietnam for 18 months. From there, I served on the Flagship of the U.S. Sixth Fleet homported in Gaeta, Italy, U.S. Naval Shipyard Bremerton, USS CONSTELLATION (CV-64), USS KITTY HAWK (CV-63), and back to Northern Italy, in the town of Verona for my last 8 years before retirement in 1987. It was a real eye opening experience for which I will be forever grateful.

Our Edmonds High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Edmonds High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
