Planning Committee FINAL Reunion Update [05/20/19]

Well, after 22+ months of planning our EHS Class of 1969 50th Reunion FUNtastic Weekend is now in our history book, but what memories to cherish by all... Friday night Meet and Greet attendance easily topped 100+, the Gala Event with 138, and the Morning-After Breakfast with 34... All our venue hosts [Grills and the Hilton] and our contractors DJ Billman, the Party People [Balloons], and Picture Perfect Magic Mirror hit GRAND SLAMS for us!

April 15th, 2019 [Planning Committee UPDATE]

GREETINGS! Thirty-Three days and counting!!

Your EHS 50th Reunion Planning Committee met at Grill’s Lakeside on April 8th to discuss the final planning details and review the status of all task-completion assignments. We are happy to report that all final details are coming together very nicely without any significant hiccups or insurmountable challenges.

All event service contracts have been duly executed and secured for the venue space, DJ music entertainment, magic mirror photo service, and enhanced room décor. Door security will also be provided to insure we have a safe and enjoyable event. Our event finances remain in good order!

GALA [May 18th] REMINDERS: No Ticket Sales at Door, Entry by Pre-Paid Alumni and Guests Only with Gala Dress Attire being CASUAL!

For your taste-bud pleasure and enjoyment, the May 18th Gala food and beverage items have been selected as follows:

Currently we have 141 attending and 28 rooms booked by classmates at our host hotel – the Hilton Altamonte Springs. Please NOTE that the EHS Room Block has now EXPIRED. Only premium rooms are available at this time and those needing or wishing to still book will need to call the Hilton Altamonte Springs direct. The Hotel’s direct number is 407-830-1985.

We also welcome and encourage attendance at our Friday night [05/17] Meet & Greet and/or our Sunday [05/19] Morning-After Breakfast gatherings. The Planning Committee has secured both of these venues at Grills Lakeside on Lake Fairview off of US 441. These additional activities are "pay on your own" and are open to all EHS Class 1969 Alumni, their guests, and our class friends. These functions are not closed events. The venue space will be shared with other Grills' patrons. Friday’s Meet & Greet will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. on the outside bar patio with live music. Sunday’s Morning-After Breakfast [group reservation] inside the restaurant at 9:00 a.m. Those planning to attend the breakfast should arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. After that time, any vacant group seats will be surrendered to other restaurant guests.

The Planning Committee will meet again on May 6th to wrap up any last minute loose ends and finalize the Gala program. The Planning Committee will provide one final update and, of course, any special announcements as needed on our Edgewater High School Class of 1969 Facebook Page and via email to the EHS Class of 69 Classmates Master Email Group. IT’S A SELL-OUT! EHS Class of 1969 50th REUNION TICKET SALES HAVE ENDED!

ONLY CLASSMATES AND THEIR GUESTS WHO HAVE PAID MAY ATTEND THE MAY 18TH EVENING GALA AT THE HILTON. EVENT CHECK-IN VALIDATION WILL BE THROUGH EVENTBRITE TICKET AND/OR THE MASTER PAID ATTENDEES LEDGER FOR THOSE WHO PAID VIA PAPER CHECK PROCESS.

The Planning Committee met on March 18th at Grills Lakeside – Lake Fairview Orlando – to continue our 50th Reunion planning endeavors on your behalf.

We have reached our attendance capacity and currently stand at 143 registered for our reunion Gala scheduled for Saturday Evening, May 18th at the Hilton – Altamonte Springs. All Gala ticket sales have ended and we are no longer accepting ticket monies.

THANK YOU AGAIN to those classmates who have paid their remaining balances through the EventBrite Ticket Sales LINK and/or paper checks via our PO Box. All remaining “deposit balances” have been paid in full and, as a result, we are happy to report that our event finances are in good order!

The EventBrite LINK will remain active to allow those attending to revisit and view the May 18th event details. The ticket sales feature at this link is shut down.

The Planning Committee met on February 22nd at the First Watch – Winter Garden – to continue our 50th Reunion planning endeavors on your behalf. The DJ and Magic Mirror Photo services have been secured for our event…

We currently stand at 138 registered for our reunion Gala scheduled for Saturday Evening, May 18th! For those few who have not yet paid their remaining balances, please remember that tomorrow February 28th is the deadline to complete this transaction.
