| About Me | I'm proud to have met or worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment world, starting with Johnny Tillotson and the Everly Brothers before I left Ohio. Met Ral Donner and Dennis Yost soon after arriving in Orlando. Changed my name to Bill Clifford (my grandmother's name) and with their encouragement I played in bands in Orlando from 1961 to 1967 (Twintones, Checkers, Prince and The Paupers, The Casuals, The Echoes (Biloxi MS), Holidays, and The Mark IV). I even recorded briefly for KAM Records in the mid-60's. By 1967 a combination of performing from 9-2,working in radio from 8-4 and teaching music from 5-8 (among other problems) led to my divorce in 1967 . I quit the band business and teaching and remarried the same year but I never again performed with a live band outside a studio. I've been lucky in my life to have met and worked with some of the finest entertainers of our generation: In addition to Johnny Tillotson, The Everly Brothers & Dennis Yost and the Classics IV, add Gene Hughes and The Casinos, Bobby Goldsboro, The Turtles, Young Rascals, Tony Orlando and Dawn, Bob Hope, Kenny Rogers, Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan, Arthur Fiedler and hundreds of others. I've done concert sound work for more than 110 live concerts and even worked on three TV specials and a movie (Jaws 3)! Many of the friends I knew have passed on but I'm still in contact with their families.
