Enlisted in Army about 2 weeks after graduation from ELHS...Served in Germany then Vietnam...was a grunt...discharged when I was 20.... Spent about 30 years in California including now...Retired from Post Office and did serve a few years as Postmaster in the tristate area.m

AFTER GRADUATION IN JUNE 1967, I ENLISTED IN TJETHE ARMY...TOOK BASIC AT FORT KNOX, ADVANCED TRAINING AT FORT JACKSON,SV...THEN ONE YEAR IN GERMANY...THEN 15 MONTHS IN VIETNAM AS A SGT IN THE INF AS A GRUNT....INCIDENTALLY, BOB WOODS CLASS OF ELHS 1966 WAS IN THE SAME BASIC TRAINIMG PLATOON AS I. BOB AND I WERE THE TRAINEE LEADERS IN THIS PLATOON. WE CALLED BOB "MOOSE" FOR HIS ABILITY TO DO ANY TRAINING TASK WITH EASE...BOB WENT ON TO SERVE IN VIETNAM WITH THE 173RD AIRBORNE WHERE HE WOUNDED BAD.....I LIVE IN SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA BUT I AM PROUD TO BE A POTTER!

After graduation from Lima Senior (I moved the summer of my Junior year), I enlisted in the US Marines, served 2 years and was discharged, re-entered reserves for 2 years in 1981 then back on active duty from 1983-1993 Sgt e-5...did a lot of traveling in the Corps, over 13 countries some of them 3 times...retired from USPS in Oct.of 2009 currently live in Elyria, Ohio
