About Me	Graduated grammer school at notre dame. Attended easthampton high to 1966. Not much of a jock, but liked nice cars and girls. Goofed off in high school having fun with friends Tom Laflam, Tom Passa, Ron Lapine, Mike Laprade Denny Loomis, cousins dave and Mark Laprade and many others. Decided college was not the right choose for me at that time and joined the navy on the buddy system with Tom Laflam. I want to say one more thing about high school. At 65 now I wonder how many guys really had relations in high school. To be honest I never did. I always wondered if girls broke off with me because of that fact. It sure wasn't because I wasn't interested. My catholic upbringing had a lot to do with it. I look back on the beautifull girls I was fortunate enough to date. I have good memories from each one of them. A little to late to whine about that now though. LOL I was dating a girl from conn. when I went into the navy, I thought she would be the one. It became a problem for me being stationed in california on a destroyer in the pacific. I was aboard the frank knox for 16 months and travelled the world with stops in australia, new zealand, samoa, thailand, taiwan, hong kong,japan, hawaii, gaum, phillipines. Spent one xmas on the line in the gulf of tonkin up north to hanoi. Saw Richie perras in the phillipines, got drunk together back home in tiujana mexico. Thats a whole other story. On the way back from vietnam I decided I wanted to be a corpsman. The navy had sent my buddy Tom to corps school right out of boot camp, he ended up with the fleet marines in nam in the thick of it. Thats a real long story. I went to Corps school and trained at balboa naval hospital San Diego calif. Got orders to report to portsmouth naval hospital virginia. Took care of wounded soldiers abs sailors coming back from vietnam. Worked in er and was senior corpsman of orthopedic ward. In March of 69 we got orders back to nam, but not before a tortuous traing camp to prepare us if we were captured by the vc. I was somewhat fortunate to get an army air base at cam ranh Bay vn. I was a small base on the outskirts of the peninsula. That was were I spent my last year and a half of my vn tour completing my four years of service. Atthat point I had made some changes in my personal life. I had stopped my relationship with my girlfriend from conn and started a new one with my soon to be wife. I was home a month and a half and was married. We lived in a great apartment in lebanon nh. I was applying for the new PA program starting at Dartmouth in hanover NH. I made down to in the 30's and was eliminated. I ended up working in a department store and worked my way up to manager in a short time. This required a move to plymouth nass to start a new store. Moved to north carver Mass. Needed more so moved back to easthampton in 1972 started work at northampton state hospital as aid slash gorilla keeping people in tow on homocidal ward. Left there to work at va in northampton. Worked nights and started nursing school at holyoke comm. Went to school for three years have associated degree in nursing. Moved to vermont the next day after graduation and started work as an RN at the VA wrj vermont. Later moved across conn river to west lebanon NH. Lived there for many yrs till 1990. Got divorced and remarried 2 yrs later. Retired at age 51 anf moved to florida where we have been for last 11 yrs. We had a thirty five foot sailboat for many yrs. I still ride a motorcycle, play senior softball, treasure hunt many different islands for gold. Still deer hunt in georgia now and love fishing. At 65-66 soon I still can run with the young guys just not as fast and not as often. MY health is not bad, body telling me crap I just ignore. Not really up to speed on all this computer and tech phone stuff and not really interested. Love my cat dog and best friend wife. Miss old friends male and female from my youth and do think of you all often. Ron Savioe, Mike Laprade, Denny Loomis, Lom passa, Tom Laflam, Alice Kessler Jodie Flynn,Kenny brown and so many others that impacted my life. Wish I could relive those nights at Mountain Park dances seeing Roy Orbison, Chad and Jeremy Remember all that? One thing that still bugs me though. What happened to Martha Knott? She was my first real girlfriend and heavy puppy love. Where is she? Then my first kiss with Chris Campaneillo, Miised her mouth and kissed her nose, Then ran all the way home without stopping. I can Laugh now but it was very serious back then. Anyone else remember those days that way?
