About Event

This is a multi-class (1960-1969) mega-reunion, to be held the weekend of October 23 through 25, 2015 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel and Convention Center just off Hurstborne Parkway, near Middletown.

Accomodations: The Ramada Plaza is offering us discounted room rates for our weekend of $74.95 per night for a King or Double. If you are interested in taking advantage of this offer, please contact the hotel at (502) 491-4830. You must mention the "Eastern High School Golden Eagles Reunion" to receive this special pricing. Your reunion committee is not staffed to make your hotel arrangements, so please make your own accommodations.

Check-In: The Hospitality Suite at the Ramada will be open and staffed between 1 and 4pm on Friday and Saturday afternoons for Check-In so you can get your package containing your name tag, program, etc. You must wear your name tag in order to attend any of the reunion events and activities. Please remember to bring your proof of payment with you. We cannot accept payment at the hotel.

Hospitality Suite: The Hospitality Suite will be open the entire weekend. This room is a great place to meet and mix with classmates and friends, old and new. Click here for complete hotel information.

Friday: The Homecoming. Our Reunion weekend kicks off Friday night with a guided nostalgic tour of Eastern High School before the Homecoming Football Game between EHS and Seneca. Our alumni group will be formally recognized at the game and we'll have special seating. You are welcome to join the tour even if you choose not to attend the game. Tickets can be purchased at the gate

Saturday: The Celebration of the 60's Party will be Saturday night in the Grand Belle Ballroom at the Ramada Plaza Convention Center, beginning with a cash bar at 5:30pm. At 7pm, our buffet dinner will be ready. The dress is casual. We will eat, visit and enjoy the music of The Mystics throughout the evening. As an added bonus, we will also be honored by hearing some stories from two of our esteemed classmates, Retired General William "Scott" Wallace (class of '65) and Paul "Voice of the Cards" Rogers (class of '69).

Sunday: A Farewell Drop-In held in the Hospitality Room will be our last opportunity to mix and meet and watch an entertaining Celebration of the 60's film, which will bring back some great memories to cap off this wonderful weekend. A light breakfast will be provided.

FAQs
Q. Okay, so I will buy my tickets on-line. What happens then?
A. You will receive an email receipt with your ticket. You can print a paper ticket or use the Eventbrite App on your phone, which is explained on your emailed receipt. Bring that ticket/receipt with you to pick up your registration packet with your name tag, etc. at the Hospitality Suite at the Ramada Plaza. A sign in the hotel lobby will direct you.
Q. Can I purchase my ticket at the Reunion?
A. Unfortunately not. We have to pay the hotel and food expenses in advance.
Q. How do I get my Football Game ticket?
A. At this point, you will purchase your ticket at the gate. We're waiting for more information from the school and we hope to have tickets later on this summer for online purchase here on Eventbrite. Keep checking back here and on Facebook.
Q. Can I update my registration information?
A. Yes, until September 15, 2015
Q. Should I bring my printed ticket to the event?
A. Yes. Although we will have a record of your on-line purchase, it's a good idea to bring your ticket, as it serves as your receipt and may alleviate confusion.
Q. What is the refund policy?
A. Sorry...there are no refunds.
Q. When purchasing my ticket, which name should I use? I've had several last names.
A. The name you enter when you purchase your ticket will appear on your printed name tag. Ladies: If you elect to show your first, maiden, and last name, your maiden name will be between your first and your married name. The registration process will easily guide you.
Q. What are my transportation/parking options getting to the reunion events?
A. Primarily, you will use your own vehicle to get around. You might consider carpooling to the high school, since homecoming game parking lots may fill up.
Q. What can/can't I bring to the reunion?
A. You are encouraged to bring lots of pics of kids, grandkids, etc. The only prohibition we are aware of is that alcohol is not allowed on public school property. You might want to wear 60's clothing to the Saturday night party, too!
Q. What if nobody recognizes me after all these years?
A. No worries, everyone will be provided with name tags.
Q. What's the tour of the school all about?
A. Just in case you didn't know, your Alma Mater has undergone 2 major renovations, the most recent was just completed last year. You really should take this 30-45 minute tour (depending on how many people are in the group), guided by current faculty and staff. Tours run continuously from 5pm till 7pm. Just show up at the school entrance adjoining the parking lot.
Q. If I decide to do the "whole enchilada", where do I go?
A. 1pm - midnight Friday - The Hospitality Suite at the Ramada Plaza will be open.
5pm Friday - EHS parking lot for guided school tour
7pm Friday - Homecoming Football Game (for those who want to attend)
5:30 Saturday - Ramada Convention Center Grand Belle Ballroom, cocktails.
7pm Saturday - The Celebration of the 60's Party
8am-2pm Sunday - Farewell Drop In with Light Breakfast
2pm Sunday - Go Home!
