Former NFL safety and younger brother of Torry Holt[2]

What is Terrence Holt known for?

Terrence DaQuay Holt, an alumni of Eastern Guilford High School in Gibsonville, North Carolina, is a former American football safety known for his exceptional performances in the National Football League (NFL). Born on March 5, 1980, in Gibsonville, North Carolina, Holt went on to become one of the most notable names in American football.

During his football career, Holt had quite the journey through the NFL, playing for multiple teams. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 5th round (137th overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played with the Detroit Lions from 2003 to 2006, before moving to Arizona Cardinals in 2007. Although he was released by the Cardinals in early 2008, Holt didn't stay a free agent for long. He joined the Carolina Panthers in March 2008, but was released by the end of August. Holt was then signed by the Chicago Bears in October 2008, and later by the New Orleans Saints in December 2008, with whom he completed the last two games of the season.

In terms of statistics, Holt made a significant contribution to his teams. He made a total of 242 tackles, 8 interceptions, and 4 forced fumbles. Unfortunately, his record in sacks was not outstanding, with only half a sack to his name. You can view more of his stats on the NFL.com.

Following his football career, Holt embarked on a new venture in 2014, when he launched a construction company with his brother, based in North Carolina. So, even after retiring from football, Holt continued to make his mark, this time in the business world.

Terrence Holt is not just a former NFL safety, he is a notable figure who has left a significant impact, whether on the football field or in the world of North Carolina construction. And above all, he is a proud alumni of Eastern Guilford High School. If you are interested to know more about him, here's a link to his Pro-Football-Reference page.
