About Me	Taught Middle School science for 30+ years. I retired in 2000 but came back to substitute from 2002 to 2006. I subbed in all areas in the middle school particularly science and math but also other subjects including Spanish and French. In the high school I also did mostly science, math along with Spanish and French. I was also active in our union, Oswego Classroom Teachers' Association, from 1977 to 2006 serving as my local's grievance chair (1977-1985), president (1988-1992) and member of the negotiating team (1978-2001). I was active in the union past my retirement because I was the immediate past president since my replacement, whom I trained, served 14 years as president and that kept me on the union's dental committee. Also participated in county union, Oswego County Teachers' Association, activities as well as for the entire state, New York State United Teachers. After retiring did substitute for about 4 years completing about 2 more years of teaching. Finally gave it all up in 2006. Had neck and spinal surgeries in 2007, and bailed out of NY in June of that year. Returned for my 50th reunion at EHS and for my older brothers funeral in 2015. My younger brother passed in October 2020. Still dealing with his estate as he was unmarried and had no children.
