Joe Vosmik, born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 4, 1910, was a prominent American baseball player noted for his remarkable career in Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut for the Cleveland Indians on September 30, 1930, and his last appearance was for the Washington Senators on July 23, 1944.

Vosmik played for various teams throughout his professional career, including the Cleveland Indians (1930-1936), St. Louis Browns (1937), Boston Red Sox (1938-1939), Brooklyn Dodgers (1940-1941), and Washington Senators (1944). He helped the Dodgers secure the 1941 National League Pennant, marking one of the most notable achievements of his career.

Armed with a career batting average of .307, Vosmik hit 65 home runs and batted in 874 runs. He was a part of the 1935 American League All-Star Team as a right fielder, and finished 3rd in 1935 in the American League's MVP voting. That year, he led the league in hits (216), doubles (47), and triples (20) while also recording stats including 10 home runs, 110 RBIs, and a .348 batting average. He was traded by the St. Louis Browns to the Boston Red Sox on December 3, 1937 for Bobo Newsom, Red Kress, and Buster Mills.

Over his career of 13 seasons, Vosmik played in 1,414 games, with 5,472 at-bats, 818 runs, 1,682 hits, 335 doubles, 92 triples, 65 home runs, and 874 RBIs. His career fielding percentage stood at .979. Beyond his playing career, Vosmik also served as a manager in the minor league system of the Indians from 1947 to 1951.
