| About Me | "What I want my children to remember about their mother is that she stood in the storm; that when the winds did not blow her way, and they surely did not, she adjusted her sails.” -- Elizabeth Edwards 1949-2010 I have 3 children: daughter Julie, 27and mother of my granddaughters Bailey, 7, and Chloe, 1; and two sons, Thomas, 24; and Wyatt, 14. I love to do many things in life and I have many creative talents. Some of my greatest interests are: genealogy (working to become a certified genealogist); writing; reading; surfing the net for interesting and educational stuff; watching History/Discovery/Science channels; stamping; hand-sewing; cooking; baking; and working in my yard. I'm a former Master Gardener Volunteer for my county and really enjoy anything to do with flowers, lawns and trees. Not so good at growing veggies though for some reason. But I try! :) I'm easygoing, funny, smart, and very open to new life experiences. I'd like to travel some and see parts of this continent I've never seen before. I'm an independent kinda girl with a wicked sense of humor and love to just have fun, laugh, joke around, and be myself!!! I REALLY love Girl's Night Out with my former East Rowan Classmates and best friends in the whole wide world!!! I feel a real sense of responsibility to provide for my extended family including my mom, my daughter as she gets on her feet financially, my older son who has had "life issues" but is now getting on HIS feet too, my two granddaughters who I want good things and opportunities in life for, and my 16 year old son who is destined to be a lawyer if he will decide to stop being bored at school and learn to follow the busy-...(read more) |
