Favorite School Memory	Basketball practice with Coach Barkley. Traveling to Concord with St.John and "the girls" to see "The Spot". Halloween with "the girls" and that VW Camper in Lincolnton. Oh what fun!
About Me	After graduating, I went to Western Carolina for a semester and decided that I wanted to work. Yeah, stupid, right? I chose to become one of the working class. I started out as a Veterinary Assistant at a clinic in Gastonia then, in Dec of '76, I found a job in Mt.Holly, NC as a Maintenance Helper at Sandoz Chemicals (now Clariant). I eventually transferred to Instrumentation & Control and seemed to have a knack for it. In 1985, I went to work for Duke Power as a Nuclear Instrument & Electrical Technician. I am currently with Duke Energy and located at Catawba Nuclear Station in York, SC. I enjoy riding motorcycles and travel. I have been fortunate enough to have been on a few very nice rides. In 1990, I rode to Sturgis, SD for the 50th Anniversary of The "Sturgis" Motorcycle Rally logging over 5100 miles. In 1992, I took the southern route to California and came back through Sturgis on the way home logging over 7200 miles in 20 days. My last trip to Sturgis was in 2006. With every trip, I have had a new appreciation for this beautiful land. I highly recommed a vacation to The Black Hills. In December of 2007, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 tongue cancer. The following month (January) of 2008, I began chemotherapy, followed by several radiation treatments. In May, I had surgery to remove some lymph nodes. I thank God every day that I am ...(read more)
