Teacher Sam Kolegas Death 1987

We understand Sam Kolegas died saving an East Leyden student during a Canadian canoe trip in 1987. Do any of you know who that student was and where is he or she is now? Does that person want to tell the story and update us on what they have been up to since then. Sam was a teacher at Lockport HS and also made several trips with our students to Canada and we were all very curious to hear about this person he saved. Thank You John Taskay johntaskay@gmail.com
