Byron Wayne Cork

Class of 1974

After I graduated high school, I attended to Laramie County Community College for two years, learning what I should have learned in high school. In 1976 I transferred to UNLV where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Earth science and The Bachelor of Science degree in geology. I earned both degrees in 1980. After graduating from UNLV I worked at the Nevada Test Site as the geologist and radiation monitor. In January of 89 I was a passenger in the auto accident. Suffering a broken neck and injured spinal cord. I've been wheelchair dependent ever since. After I got injured, I could no longer do my old job anymore. So I went back to UNLV , and earned a degree in Science Education. I spent 21 years as the school teacher in Nevada. In 2013 I started doing stand-up comedy. I will be doing a 15 minutes set at our high school's 50th reunion. Saturday night August 3rd at the mingle and meet. Soon I will be getting a YouTube channel.
