About Me	I attended UAA for two years after graduation. I changed my major, took a year off of school, and began attending BBC in 1982. I graduated in 1985, and returned home to Anchorage to begin working at Anchorage Christian Schools. Over the next few years, I took additional training in the Slingerland program giving me a background in teaching the language arts in a multi-sensory style. I began dating the high school history teacher at ACS, and we were married in 1988. In 1995, I resigned my position , and over the next 10 years I stayed at home rearing children. I returned to ACS in 2005 , subbing in the secondary level. This past fall, I returned to teaching full time. Currently, I am teaching 10th and 12th English, AP Literature, and SAT Prep at Anchorage Christian Schools where my husband and I enjoy hav...(read more)
