About Me	Micheal Nicholes here: Hello ever one I am thinking of those I remember, and the delightful memories always seem to come back concerning my experiences at East High To those days of care free non direct fun, of living life to the fullest ...little did I think... nor did anyone else think, I would ever get serious about school. Well in fact I did and after going to work for KENNECOTTE COPPER. I did in fact go back to school for Kennecotte and got my BS in Geology, and Associates degrees in Criminology & Corrections and Social Work. I worked in various supervisors capacities for them for 15 years. While working for them I completed a masters in Special Education and then went on to get a my Masters in Social Work and Gerontology in 1974. At which time I moved to Camarillo Ca, near Santa Barbara. where I have resided since 1974. I worked for the State of California in several mental health hospitals and prisons, and taught at two different masters programs at two different universities and several community college's in the Addiction Studies Programs.Psychology and other courses. I . I retired in 1987 from the state of California. In addition I worked for the USAF Space Missile Command,as the Family Outreach Manger over Vandenberg Air Force base Space Missile complex. In that capacity I traveled all over the US, to all the space missile bases and had a long career teaching and working with other bases, and other military organizations Navy, Army, Marines, Coastguard coordinating the teaching of military in investigating, prosecuting Family and Sexual abuse. In addition all Family Advocacy programs also provided family mental health, prenatal and postnatal nursing care.and special education access for all dependents and active duty personnel. I retired retired from the USAF in 1998, I am now drawing my Kenncotte pension, SS and also and doing the activities below . In addition to dealing with health problem's from my cerebral palsy, which has come to make my life more challenging than it always was. But I have been blessed by this affliction in the long run ...it was the reason I went back to school and learned to love learning for learning sake. I belive it was alsoone of the reasion I have chose to work with people. Since I retired I have more time to spend with my wife and our 14 children and 25 grand children and 15 great grand children. My sons and I ranch of 4000 acers in Northern CA and my son Richard also has a group home for Adult Autistic blind men and women. who he has had them off all medications for the last 15 years. 3 sons and 4 daughters are Nurses as was my wife who has her masters in Nursing and worked as RN with a Masters in Nursing, MRN.,. for 54 years. before retiring in 1998. 2 sons are engineers, as is 1 daughter and two son's and one daughter are deceased since 2001. My free time is spent painting,photographing the varied landscape's of California, farming and working in my church doing video productions and in my computer club writing and researching various projects for them.
