Carlos Salazar Class of 1961
Air Force, 20+ Years
Served for 31+ years as an Aircraft Maintainer. Served in Special Operations in Viet Nam. As an Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent I Took a Squadron of A-10s to the first Gulf War. Retired in the Grade of CMSgt. (E-9) 30Sept. 1992.

Performed maintenance on nuclear weapons, did electrical engineering, and was an acquisition program manager.

Enlisted February 1979. Served on board the U.S.S. Tarawa LHA-1), U.S.S. Arkansas (CGN-41), NRD Minneapolis, U.S.S. Vincennse (CG-49), ATRC San DIego. Retired May 2001.

Jerry Butler

Jerry was a JAG officer for 10yrs, then he served as an international AF lawyer after being selected to attnd NYU '68 fo receive his interntional law credentials. His Juris Doctorate is from the U of U '56. Jerry's military career (30+ yrs) included the army reserves, SAC/ training bases in Arkansas, Maine, and California, eight years at the Pentagon, overseas bases in Japan, Panama (involved with Canal treaty), and five years in The Republic of the Philippines when he served as the legal advisor to the Ambassador at the US Embassy in Manila. He etired in "85 to Logan , Utah.

Army, 17 Years
Was a member of the Utah Army National Guard for 7 years then went active duty in 1995. I was stationed at Ft Clayton Panama for 2 1/2 years then was stationed at Ft Hood TX until I ETS in 2005. Iwas with the 1st CAV DIV for most of my time in Ft Hood and then I went to K-9 School and was reasigned to the 89th MP BGD. Currently home from injuries recieved while in Afghanistan as a civilian dog handler.
