David was my friend. He was tall, lanky, dark haired, quiet, and shy. He was killed in Vietnam when the tank, he was in, hit a mine. His name is on the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C.. I have an impression of his name taken from the Memorial that I cherish. He was a good friend and a quiet hero.
