| About Me | I joined the USMC in Aug 1966. Got to Vietnam in Jan 67 in an infantry unit. I was wounded by a grenade in Oct 67 and by a bullet in Nov 67. When I got home in Jan 68 I went to Camp Lejeune NC. In April 68 I left for a Mediterranean Cruise with the 8th Marines. I got discharged in May of 69 and returned to Akron. I worked at General Tire. After returning to the states in 76 I did various training and in 78 Left for another Med Cruise. I was transferred to Hawaii in 1980 and stayed until 82. Travel was 4th class to be sure but the countries were great. I left the USMC and married a Sailor girl. I worked as the Base Locksmith on several bases. I'm now retired with my 4th wife (I don't give up and finally found the right one) a...(read more) |
