I loved Marianna. She was my best friend in high school. We met in junior high school choir. I remember the first time I asked her to come with my family to a park, she thought she was a second choice. She was my first choice. She finally understood & that started our friendship. I remember having meals at her very Italian household & Her father calling me Cigaretta instead of Sigrid. He always laughed when he said it with a smile.
