| About Me | Family, first and foremost is my reason of being. Work, second priority, the pride of working for a top ten corporation, PepsiCo, for eighteen years has allowed me the opportunity to share my talent, skills and knowledge for over six years with underprivileged youth. The development of a pilot program fell into my hands with a team of a Dynamic Six we were able to take this program and turn it into a national model that is now being used in seven cities. The passion that I have to help and pull those that are our future leaders is so great, which is why, when given the opportunity, to implement our visions, the program grew. This program is known as Escalera the ladder to success. The program is a sixteen month program where you youth commit themselves for this period of time in developing their weaknesses and finding opportunities which lead to a college or university acceptance. As the PepsiCo leader for this program, the vision was to give these children an opportunity to realize that just because they come from underprivileged families does not mean that they are not offered the same opportunities. We work with the students on self-identification, career identification, presentation skills, professional skills, table etiquette, different areas within a corporation, (i.e Finance, Marketing, Food Science, Operations, etc).
