I've known Charlie since grade school but lost track of him after high school, I saw him briefly years later at a Hartford, IL homecoming. He was working on a river boat then. When I knew him best and before working on the river, he was very health and physical fitness conscious and into lifting weights. I remember when we graduated from 8th grade, a whole mob of us spent the night at his house and kept the neighbors awake till the wee hours of the morning and had a ball. He was always a good natured and a very likeable guy.
