| About Me | After graduating from E. E. Smith High School, my family and I were transfered to the state of Washington. I was interested in secretarial work and attended a Business College. I then began the long journey of working for a school district as a secretary for the Director of Publications for quite a number of years. I married, had two beautiful children, and then divorced after a little more than 15 years of marriage. After my first child was born, I was a stay at home Mom. After my divorce, I returned to the school district I had worked for in the past, and I now work with the Title I/LAP Program, Grades K-5. My Daughter has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Public Health degree in Community Health/Prevention from Drexel University. She worked at a local health department for a few years designing, implementing, and evaluating community health programs. She decided to go back to school for nursing and completed a 1 year accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Thomas Jefferson University (she graduated Summa Cum Laude). Now she is a Medical/Surgical RN at a local children's hospital. She has future plans of attending school one more time for a doctorate degree in community health nursing. My Son graduated from the same University his sister attended with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. He went on to attend graduate school at the same university and earned his Master of Arts in Teaching degree. He is endorsed in English and History. He currently teaches English at the Tacoma School of the Arts. Both of my children attended the University of Puget Sound with full Academic Scholarships.
