• Led a Department of Defense recognized Center of Excellence in production, industrial engineering, quality control programs / procedures; assists customers with coordination of logistical support and technical assistance
• Directed a multi-disciplined staff of military, civilian, and contractors assigned to a program of national scope, interest, and significance; 1,700 personnel; budget of $402 million
• Responsible for planning, directing, integrating and executing all aspects of production divisions within cost, schedule, performance and system supportability requirements; produced revenue of over $503 million annually

48th Maintenance Group, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, United Kingdom, 2004 -- 2005
Commander, Colonel, United States Air Force

• Directed maintenance activities and set policy for 2,200 personnel, in 5 subordinate squadrons, supporting 84 F-15C / D / E aircraft, 196 F100-220 / -229 engines, 700 pieces of ground equipment, $340 million of test equipment and 12 million pounds / $5.6 billion worth of munitions—operating budget in excess of $75 million
• Molded 2,200 aircraft maintenance and munitions professionals into a breeding ground of success; awarded “Excellent” Logistics Performance and Resources ratings during AF / NATO inspections
• Visionary leadership and logistics savvy showcased numerous airpower capabilities including the first F-15 release of Joint Direct Attack Munitions in combat and its subsequent lethal integration with the SNIPER pod; led critical support planning for AF’s initial bed-down of Small Diameter Bomb

• Led a joint 54-person staff that instituted and sustained a full-spectrum logistics infrastructure connecting coalition air forces at 21 bases in 9 countries; disciplines included aircraft maintenance, fuels, munitions, supply, transportation, logistics plans, contracting and services
• Created rapid distribution system used by transportation teams in its first 4 months to handle 85,000 passengers, nearly 1 million tons of cargo, 2.7 million pounds of ammunition, and delivered more than 2,300 vehicles to personnel throughout the whole of the Middle East

33d Fighter Wing, 33d Logistics Group, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida 2001 – 2003
Deputy Commander, United States Air Force

• Second in command of an 850-person group responsible for the production and combat readiness of 54 F-15 C / D aircraft. Directed organizational and inter-mediate level maintenance and supply, controlled and allocated manpower, established wing maintenance training policy for over 1,200 personnel wile managing a $27M annual budget
• Developed and implemented world wide contingency plans to meet Operation NOBLE EAGLE and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM tasks with short- to no-notice. Directed upkeep and modernization of 78 facilities and ensured the Wing’s environmental compliance. Directly supervised the senior leadership of Quality Assurance Inspectors and the Group Resource Advisor


United States Forces Korea, Yongsan Garrison, Seoul, South Korea, 1999 -- 2001
Chief, International Programs, United States Air Force

• Analyzed and resolved mutual airlift issues pertaining to wartime support of US and Korean forces and fixed air, land and sea transportation shortfalls in peacetime and contingency operations throughout the Korean peninsula
• Ensured the availability of the $11 Billion logistics infrastructure, sustainment and re-supply of the Korean Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines (Critical Requirements Deficiency management)
• Leveraged a Mutual Logistics Support Agreement, opened door for the Korean government to increase their percentage of operational cost offsets from 40% to over 55%, saving the US tens of millions of dollars over a 5-year period


18th Logistics Group, Kadena Air Base, Japan 1997--1998
Commander, 18th Maintenance Squadron, United States Air Force

• Responsible for the overall leadership, management, training, health, morale, welfare, good order, discipline, safety and employment of over 840 personnel in 28 career fields across 51 separate work centers comprising the United States Air Force’s largest maintenance squadron
• Executed and reached annual production goals including over 250 F100 engine overhauls, 12,000 Line Replaceable Unit repairs, 20,000 precision measurement calibrations and jet engine intermediate maintenance for 15 A-10s from Osan Air Base, Korea; annual budget of $35M
• Directed the off-equipment maintenance and corrosion control of 8 KC-135R tankers, a number of Special Operations Forces MC 30 Talons, 3 Airborne Warning And Control assets, USMC Harrier Fighter Attack aircraft, and all transiting military transport, diplomatic and cross-country aircraft


8th Fighter Wing, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea (Wolf Pack) 1996--1997
Commander, 8th Transportation Squadron, United States Air Force

• Lead a squadron of 2 officers, 124 enlisted and 33 civilian personnel providing 24-hour support to 56 F-16 aircraft and over 3,000 wing personnel. Directed operations and maintenance of 900 general purpose and special purpose vehicles valued at $49M
• Managed $5.5M in household goods and passenger movement for Department of Defense customers and was responsible for all packaging, preservation and in-transit accountability of cargo. Ensured expeditious movement of two-level maintenance and lean logistics items while providing base and intra-theater surface and passenger movement

24th Logistics Group, Howard Air Force Base, Republic of Panama, 1993 – 1996
Commander, 24th Maintenance Squadron, United States Air Force

• Lead a squadron of 117 personnel with 20 different aviation maintenance rated specialties; provided Life Support services to 180 personnel and managed the Flight Records of 340 flyers and parachutists while managing the wing’s $3M aviation, petroleum, oil and lubricants program
• Executed annual budget of over $600K, ensured compliance with US and international environmental standards; conducted transient maintenance services for DoD / diplomatic aircraft
• Planned and scheduled the missions of 10 assigned C-27 A and rotational Air Reserve Component C-130s. Provided airfield operations services to multi-agency forces conducting a wide range of missions from Panama and Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras

Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia 1991--1993
Chief, Logistics Supportability Section, Directorate of Requirements, Air-to-Surface Branch

• Lead Acquisition and Logistics Manager for critical Phase 2 of the Joint Direct Attack Munitions program, encompassing the. Spokesman to the US Navy for Combat Air Forces’ requirements for the Joint Programmable Fuse, a $21M program doubling existing shelf-life / service-life, reliability while reducing the logistics support tail
• While campaigning and winning the support for the first Joint fuse in over 20 years, analyzed and defended fuse deficiencies, gaining priority in the Conventional Weapons Review and being acknowledged as a senior Air Force Leadership “need”

20th Tactical Fighter Wing, Royal Air Force Upper Heyford, United Kingdom 1988 – 1991
Maintenance Supervisor, Officer-in-Charge, Component Repair Squadron, Aircraft Maintenance Unit

• Lead 10 officers and over 700 aircraft maintenance technicians and supervisors conducting on- and off-equipment repair of 72 F-111E and 18 EF-111A aircraft for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s Strike commitments. Managed a $6.2M annual budget supporting over 20,000 flying hours and 10,000 sorties both at home station and operations DESERT SHIELD/STORM.
• With no previous mobility commitment, computerized mobility planning data resulting in the deployment of 75% of the 20th Tactical Fighter Wing’s firepower to the Middle East in 96 hours

501st Tactical Missile Wing, Royal Air Force Greenham Common, United Kingdom 1985--1988
Senior Flight Commander, Wing Instructor / Evaluator, Ground Launch Cruise Missile (GLCM)

• Commanded fully operational GLCM Flight consisting of 8 officers, 12 NCOs, and 50 Airman where 18 of the compliment were Royal Air Force Regiment soldiers
• Trained and evaluated six fully operational GLCM Flights with an instructor cadre of 25 personnel, half of which were Royal Air Force Regiment soldiers. Served as the principle Air Force liaison to the US Army concerning tactics, deception, Nuclear-Chemical-Biological operations and decontamination procedures while integrating the current US AirLand Battle doctrine
• Key member of the American-British staff creating Joint / Coalition procedure for GLCM / tactical nuclear operations within the United Kingdom

341st Strategic Missile Wing, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana 1980 – 1984
Senior Missile Combat Crew Commander / Instructor, Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile

• Supervised seven officers in the Lesson Plans Development Branch while performing duties at the Alternate Wing Command Post; remotely located over 120 miles from the main operation base

I am serving with the 142nd VAQRON (Electronic Attack Squadron VAQ-142). Currently deployed to Iraq in support of "Operation: Iraqi Freedom". My squadron is stationed at NASWI - Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, WA.
I am a qualified "Plane Captain" (similiar to Crew Chief, or Powerline in other branches of the service) on the EA-6B "Prowler" platform.
