Albert Michael “Mike” Tomikel II P.G. Man Dies, Another Hurt in Auto Crash. A Prince George's County man was killed, and another critically injured in an automobile crash near Riva in Anne Arundel County early today. Maryland State Police said that Albert M. Tomikel II, 24, of 9915 Greenbelt Road, Lanham, was dead on arrival at Anne Arundel General Hospital in Annapolis a short while after the car he was driving struck a tree. A passenger, Robert L. Tipton, 24, of 3418 Newton Street, Mt. Ranier, was flown to the shock trauma center at University Hospital in Baltimore by a state police helicopter. He was reported in critical condition. Officers said the accident happened about 1 a.m. on Riva Road, about a half mile north of the South River Bridge, between Riva and Parole.
