| About Me | I grew up right across the street from DuSable High School (4845 Federal #401). I didn't graduate with my class in 1970 because I was pregnant, I graduated the following summer of 1971. My baby, at one year old, attended my Graduation. I then went to Malcolm X College, to study journalism. But having a child, I went to work instead. I got married and had another child(son). I moved to California in the mid 70's, Georgia in the late 70's and back to Chicago in the early 80's. There's so much in between that time and now, you'll have read it in a book. I love writing and I did self publish a chapbook titled, "The Educated Gangster and The Engineer." Ironically, who I called it a love story, but was about physical, mental abuse; domestic violence, told poetically. I've been living in Washington State for almost 20 years now and I got a chance to go home two years ago after being away for 15 years. I did a back to back trip. Those years were awesome for many reasons. I caught up with friends, I hadn't seen and heard from in years. My mother also graduated from DuSable. I am so proud of where I came from and the schools I attended (Beethoven, The Center and DuSable) Great teachers! I call it "THE SCHOOL OF GREATS"!
