About Me	September 11, 1997 I was sworn in at Tampa MEPS (military entrants processing station) and left for boot camp at Great Lakes, Ill. From there I went to Groton, Ct. for BESS (basic enlisted submarine school) and Sonar "A" school. I left Groton May 28, 1998 for Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. I spent 4 and a half years in Pearl Harbor served on 2 Boats... "Submarines". The first was the USS Key West SSN 722 (who sent me out for a short time on the USS Los Angles SSN 688). After my tour on the KW722 I transfered to the USS Charlotte SSN 766 and for the rest of my time in Pearl Harbor the Charlotte stayed true to the name her crew gave her... The USS "C" Harlotte S--t of the Seven Seas due to us being at sea for about 285 days out of the year. while i was stationed in Pearl Harbor and going to sea I took the opportunity to visit other countries: Japan, Singapore, China, South Korea, and Guam. When I was finished with my tour in Hawaii I was transfered to South East Georgia (What a Culture Shock!!). I had left the land of fat Samoans, Luaos, Hula Drancers and parties to land in the Bible Belt of the South. A place where there are more Churches on every street corner vise convenice stores. Well while in Bull Dog country (better not say that to loudly someone might take offence) I attended Sonar "C" school at Kings Bay Naval Station, at which time when I was done I was assigned to the USS Rhode Island SSBN 740 (GOLD) where i met up with an old class mate Jack Hagy (look him up, he is in the year book). And so after about three years on board RI 740 I was Honorably Discharged with no money and no more adventures of the kind. Currently I...(read more)
