I remember working with Howard at General Motors and during our lunch break I would tell him stories about the Marine Police because I worked there as a volunteer. Every Monday he couldn't wait to have lunch so he could hear more stories about the Marien Police stories that I would tell him. Then he comes in one day and tells me that he is joining the police department and hoping he can get into the Marine Division. He eventually got his wish and a few times he and I were able to go on duty together you could tell he was in his glory, and then we talked about our time together working at General Motors. He had no desire to go back, that was for sure. He found his true love. The police department.
