Kevin McMullan, born on September 22, 1968, is a renowned American baseball coach hailing from Dumont, New Jersey. He graduated from Dumont High School and went on to study at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where he made his mark as a multi-sport athlete. Known for his performance as both a catcher for the IUP baseball team and a linebacker for the IUP football team, McMullan bagged the prestigious All-American honor in both sports.

Post-graduation in 1990, McMullan turned professional and played for significant teams like the New York Yankees (from 1990 to 1992) and the Salt Lake City Trappers (in 1990 and 1992). He also earned the Pioneer League All-Star title with the Trappers in 1990.

In 2003, McMullan started coaching at the University of Virginia and continues to serve as their assistant baseball coach. He significantly contributes to recruiting and training players, enhancing the quality of the university's baseball program. His coaching has led the team to rank among the top 14 in the NCAA competitions multiple times. Apart from this, McMullan had an impactful stint as a manager and coordinator for the Atlanta Braves, where he coached the club's catchers and hitters during spring training.

His coaching career also includes a fruitful tenure at East Carolina University, where he served as a recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, and catching instructor for the Pirates, their baseball team. Under his guidance, the Pirates recorded 138 wins and 46 losses, bagged three conference championships and an NCAA Regional Championship, and consistently finished among the top 25 teams during his three years of service.

McMullan's coaching prowess is evident as he has mentored several players who have gone on to make it big in Major League Baseball. Notable names include Ryan Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals, Mark Reynolds of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Joe Koshansky of the Colorado Rockies.
