About Me	I was a farmer's daughter in the Texas Panhandle. I drove a tractor in the summers from age 11 to 18 and also a grain truck during grain harvest. I made a lot of my clothes in high school and learned to make great pie crust. I have written several poems and a song that was arranged and recorded by Dennis Thompson. I went to the University of Texas at Austin, met Art, got married, and got a B.S. in Home Economics Education (in that order). My 40-year work history (not counting the tractor driving) includes credit clerk, clerk-typist, seller of Swipe, 4-H Program Assistant (13 years), substitute teacher, owner of a typing service (call me "Speedy Lil"), executive secretary, marketing manager & seminar manager (15 years), caregiver for the elderly, and tutor of students in grades K-12.
