Bob Lewis
Class of 1980
Bob Lewis was one of the best athletes to come out of Dubois High School. He starred in football, as one of the best defensive linemen in school history. He also played basketball and was on the wrestling team. Had he gone out for wrestling earlier during high school, he could have developed into the school's first state champion athlete. In stead, that honor went to his younger brother Steve. After leaving Dubois for a time, Bob returned to make it his home. He built a career as an outstanding general contractor, specializing in log homes. He built some of the finest log homes in Jackson, including a home for a former NBA player. His last project was the remodel of a cabin, renovation of a barn and the complete construction of a log home all on one property on the banks of the Wind River halfway between Dubois and Red Rocks. One of Bob's sons, Shea, also starred for Dubois in football and basketball. After his return to Dubois, Bob was an avid supprter of Ram teams and athletes. Bob's life was cut short, however, when he died in Dubois May 31, 2008.
