William B. Cuthbert
Class of 1938
Air Force, 3 Years
Bill Cuthbert was shot down iat 8:42 PM in a B 24 Liberator on April 20th, 1944 over Abbeville France. His plane was hit by German flak, and while 8 of his fellow airman were able to parachute safely, Bill Cuthbert tried to save the nose gunner iwho was trapped in the plane, and as a result both men died.
Bill is burried at the American Cemetary at Nornandy, France in Plot D Row 14 Grave 42
