About Me	I still have siblings in the Chicago area, but I moved away in 1979. After college at St. Mary’s of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, and a year in Italy, I moved to Washington D.C. to work on Capitol Hill. I returned to Chicago in 1982 and worked downtown where I met my husband, Bob. We married in 1984 and moved to North Carolina in 1986. Bob and I have 3 children. Careers with Corning Incorporated (think fiber optics and Gorilla Glass in iPhones) took us to Corning, NY, in 1992 and Shanghai, China, in 2000. We retired in 2016 and have stayed in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York (about 1,5 hours south of Rochester.) We travel a lot, especially to see Bob’s three sisters in England and Germany. Our retirement goal was to visit all the National Parks. We have 8 left to visit. Our children (a daughter and two sons) live in Vermont, California and Indiana. That definitely keeps us on the road. We get back to Indianapolis, often, to visit our grandchildren and to Chicago to visit family. ...(read more)
