I did not know Jane Spikes - but I knew 'Susan Spikes', Class of '67. We were good friends. My name used to be 'Cheryl Whitright'. So sorry for your loss of Jane. I didn't remember that Susan had a younger sister just a year younger - I thought hers were much younger. They were the only 'Spikes' family in town that I knew of, but we moved to California in 1962, just after the Spikes family had moved 'outside of town' to a 'new addition' out in the vicinity of the new 'A J Bayless store' off 10th Street. We've been back to Douglas since then, but I never got to see the Spikes family again. We have such good, happy memories from that time with good friends. Jr High. Those were some good times! It's so hard to hear about so many that have passed away so soon that we knew as kids there in Douglas.
