Alexander Canterell Johnson, born February 8, 1983 in Albany, Georgia, is a renowned alumnus of Dougherty Comprehensive High School. As a former professional basketball player, Johnson had a significant career spanning several years in the National Basketball Association (NBA) where his listed height stood at 6 ft 9 in, and weight at 240 lb.

Johnson played college basketball at Florida State from 2003 to 2006. Known for his impressive vertical leap of 40 inches, he proved his athleticism as an inside player, averaging 13.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game for the Seminoles during his final season in 2005-2006.

His skills and prowess led him to be selected 45th overall in the 2006 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers. His career in the NBA commenced with playing for the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2006-2007 season and later, the Miami Heat in the 2007-2008 season. During these periods, he averaged 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Grizzlies and for the Miami Heat, he averaged 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds, appearing in 43 games.

Beyond NBA, Johnson also exhibited his talents internationally. He joined Brose Baskets of Bamberg, Germany in 2008 and later played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA D-League. In 2012, he signed with the Liaoning Hengye Jaguars of China, where he remarkably tallied a double-double by scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the team's second game of the 2012-13 CBA season.
