My Name is Ruben Garcia, A.k.a. DJ Qu1z0 pronounced “Quiz – O”. The 1 and 0 in my name represents the year I started to really dj and basically; the year 2010 was a huge year for my career, which has taken off relatively quickly. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California I grew up around music all my life. I have been playing drums for 8 years. And around 4 years ago Ive discovered Electronic music and DJing fell in love to producers/djs such as Deadmau5, Rusko, Bassnectar, Wolfgang Gartner, Steve Angello, Axwell, Sebestian Ingrosso, and Daft Punk to name a few. I then, really took an in -depth look into Djing like DJ’s such as DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and A-trak. And of course the local talent around IV thats influenced me as well like Deejay Raph, Mackle, Persuade, Steve Zelaya, Taylor Lane, Neon Knights, and Bix King. Been Mixing and putting up mixes/mash-ups on soundcloud.com for 3 years now. Saw great responses and took the leap into djing live my mixs and mash-ups. Been djing in Isla Vista for 2 years now and now recently downtown Santa Barbara and hopefully the world one day. But for now I’m more than pleased being a Dj and introducing Electronic music to young people like some of the artist I’ve said.
