About Me Moved in late '68 to Salt Lake City and went to U of Utah. Worked my way through college as an auto mechanic - a skill I value to this day as one of my major hobbies is restoring old cars. Graduated in '73 with a degree in management. Started working for Uncle Sam in '75 as a civilian for the US Army in Texarkana, TX. Then to Lexington, KY, then transferred to the USAF in Wash DC in '79. Next to Vandenberg '80-'88(Lompoc/Santa Maria); Redlands CA '88-'91 (attended 20 yr reunion and really enjoyed meeting so many of you again after 20 years); Wash DC again '91-'94 (attended 25 yr reunion); Sacramento '94-'95. Moved to Albuquerque in '95 and have settled here - we love it here, and I've got a great job working for the AF Inspector General (I work hard to try to reduce the AF's waste of our tax dollars - a never ending battle). Plan to retire in '05. Job has a huge amount of travel and I was not able to keep track to attend the 30 yr reunion (was there one?). Update 2008: am now retired and loving it. Cycled about 3000 miles in 2007, including the Great Bike Ride Across Iowa. One marriage and one boy in the 70's; another marriage and another boy in the 80's. Met the love of my life in '87 (Susanne attended the DP 20 yr reunion with me) and we've had a wonderful 20+ years and counting. Update 2017: Susanne and I have continued traveling (40+ countries and counting) and will embark on world cruise in late 2017; built/moved into dream home Feb 2017 in Peoria AZ (suburban Phoenix). Around-the-world cruise, Dec 2017 to May 2018. Update April 2025: Have continued traveling: Susanne and I just completed a half-world cruise, have now visited 87 countries, still have some places to go and sight...(read more)
