I lost my Husband little Mike Girvin on our 39th Wedding Anniversary September 2nd 2012 (1973); to stage 4 Colon Cancer. Its been VERY HARD as I'm sure it has too upon your Family losing Melinda. What a BEAUTIFUL girl Melinda is & ALWAYS WILL BE TO MY HEART. My Sincere Condolences to your Family. Big Mike Girvin passed away (Little Mike Girvin's Cousin who's name was really William (Bill)) passed away March 2024 as well. No word how or why. My Mother-in law passed away yesterday morning. Nobody is left of all our Parents. Chuck I wasn't sure if you remember Dutch Holland & (my 1st love)? He passed away November 18; 2023. I married little Mike Girvin when he came home from Vietnam (Navy U.S.S Oriiskany CVA-34 Aircraft Carrier) on a 21 day leave 3 wks after I turned 18; right b4 12 grade. We couldn't wait 2 > yrs...lol! I'm SHOCKED Melinda passed. Please let me know how you & Rick are doing. Again I'm SO Very Sorry to hear this. P.S. Chuck; Do you have any children/Grandkids? We have 1 daughter Rebecca age 48 & 1 Grandson age 18 & & Grandaughter age 13. They all moved from San Diego; where I live now; sadly to Odessa; Florida. We moved to S.D. from Goleta to help raise our Grandkids over 17 yrs ago. Im so happy for them but so lonely here. Let me know if there's anything I can do. We'd of celebrated our 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary September 2nd 2023. I too was shocked it was Stage 4 when they found the tumor during a routine Colonoscopy. A petscan showed it had already spread to his liver 5 places & Pancreas & a spot in his brain. They gave him 30 months. He fought HARD to live 21 1/2 months. Im still having a TOUGH time. Every body grieves different. It was HARD as I lost 11 family members in 2012...then everyone died thereafter fast. You had many beautiful years together with the most sweetest; funniest; BEAUTIFUL wife; Sister (Rick); & Mom if U had children. My heart goes out to you all. BLESS YOU ALL
