Charles also known as Chas to his friends was a 1964 graduate of Donegal High School. He was known for his little red VW convertible. Chas was a member of the DHS Soccer, Basketball and Tennis Teams.
He was the number 1 tennis player in his senior year. Chas was drafted into the USArmy and in 1966 was sent to Vietnam. While on patrol near the Village of Ahn Khe his unit was ambushed. While attempting to rescue his 2nd Lt Chas was killed by enemy fire.He was awarded the Bronz Star for valor and bravery posthumously for his actions on that April Day. He is dearly missed by his family, classmates and his close friends.
