Jason Sherrer

Jason Sherrer

Class of 2004

Our family has been involved with Dobson since we moved to AZ in 1988! Our dad, Jeff Sherrer coached basketball with our Uncle Rick for years and then Jason played for them! He also played baseball (Varsity) fir three years as a catcher. He was an amazing student as well. He had a GPA of 4.0 all three years at Dobson while playing 2 sports. He went on to play baseball at Scottsdale Community College for 2 years. He walked on and became the starting catcher! He played with a broken foot and a bad knee. Once it was time to leave Scottsdale he got the opportunity to play for Mount Olive College in Mount Olive, NC. Last year (2007) they went to the Regionals and lost in the last game to not go to the World Series. This year (his senior year) he was named the Conference Player of the Year, was named to the 1st team all conference and is up for Academic All-American and All American for NCAA Division II. As his sister, I am extremely proud of him! He has gone through so many hard times in his life dealing with sports and he is finally getting recognized for his accomplishments and his hard work.
