After graduating college, I started in clerical at the Roslyn ANG Station, I moved to chemical warfare/water purification. Wanting more, I became a SSgt and moved to Westhampton Beach to the 106 CES (civil engineering) and worked as a roofer and plumber. After 10 years, I had to retire due to an injury that occurred as a NYC Police Officer.

I was a Law Enforcement Specialist for the USAF's Security Police. I served my entire tour of duty at Langely AFB in Virginia. I was a marksman with the .38 cal revolver, M-16 Assault Rifle, and 12 Gauge Shotgun. I was on the Security team for President Ronald Reagan's visit to Langley AFB in 1981. I received a Letter of Accomodation from Brig. Gen. Tolbert while at Langley AFB for job performance and appearance. I was promoted to Non- Commissioned Officers status E-4 Buck Sergeant in March 1983. I was awarded a Good Conduct Medal in 1983 and was Honorably Discharged.
